Am I too late for BTC mining??

Since I started this I was wondering If I am really to late for mining BTC, then I started to look for actual facts, I trust Math and my numbers tells me that is no longer an option to mine BTC, to be able to even come even to the actual energy cost if I order my ASIC today and will be delivered on April (that I you select the one that has 2 TH/s at 5999 that will give you best performance for your bucks) , do not get me wrong for those that currently have them they will continue doing good up to that point (best performance is up to month 4 if I start today after that returns are not that impressive)

here is what those that already have that kind of power will mine

From that point even if you mine 8 month you will only pull $18257.72 at current USD rate, even if the rate increase in value the returns are not what you expect, remember that is not the full value we need to apply the reduction
Now for those like me that plan to order in the coming days then the result is quite different and very disappointed.

Now we are assuming a daily risk that is very high lets be more conservatives and think that the increase will not be that drastic due to a lot of hashing power from the ones that do not have a TH star to quit, so let say a 25% increase in 11 days average, even with that change I will still miss about $2651.49; the only way that I am going to be able to see my return in 12 months would be the following

If by the time I have my miner the BTC rate in USD is $1891, that will make that in 12 months(if exchange rate maintain the same) I recover the cost of the equipment or , if by some kind of magic instead of having 2TH I apply an update and I can mine 3.6 TH , I will recover the amount in the same 12 month period.
So either you probably bet like casino style and pray that prize will be that amount to not have a loss, also that your equipment arrive on time,  or that there is a patch update that makes you have more power.

On the other hand for those that currently have those equipment they will probably need to buy with what they have earned enough power to have 14 TH, by that period if they want to continue having profits
But not all hope is lost at least not yet, if we bet for something lets assume that most of the top 5 Crypto currencies will increase in value as well with BTC, then if you already have the powerful hardware then will make send to star mining another HASH256 coin like PPCOIN for example, even Assuming difficulty goes x3 and by the time the miner arrives if you bought it today you will mine a lot more coins, an will got your money back in 3 months and with more coins, so if the prize goes to the sky you will have a little more, and also you have the extra that once you stop producing a lot of coins from mining there is the Proof – of – Stake and if you already have a lot the you will be also gaining a %.

Here is a little calculation difficulty is not adjusting so you can apply a  10% daily reduction to calculate a long term profit

Daily gain is 1.1355 of PPC.

So depending on what you have now or are planning to have on the future like me then is still possible to make some profit from these currencies, at least until no apocalipse happens.

Guiminer: Verification failed, check hardware! OMG what sorcery is this

When I started mining I thought everything was good, till I opened the console and saw an horrible message, I was not sure in what was but I found on internet the reason behind the problems, it was usually related to the drivers of your Video cards or GPU, here I share with you the solutions that I found hope you like them:
Find the archive “Phatk.cl” and change the following lines:

located line 30 of the file

39 #ifdef BFI_INT

40 #define Ch(x, y, z) amd_bytealign(x, y, z)

41 #else

42 #define Ch(x, y, z) bitselect(z, y, x)

43 #endif

remove that code and replace it by :

Code:

#define Ch(x, y, z) bitselect(z, y, x)
However if this not help then you will need to do something much more complex that will require you to downgrade your drivers and probably you will not be able to play some newer games, here are the details.

1. In control panel -> programs and features, uninstall all AMD APP SDK/ATI Stream SDK items

2. In control panel -> programs and features, use the ATI Catalyst Install Manager and pick uninstall ALL ATI software.

3. Reboot into safe mode (beat on F8 when the computer restarts), and remove these files manually:

in \Program Files & \Program Files (x86): "ATI", "AMD APP", and "ATI Technologies" directories,
\AMD and \ATI directories

4. In \Windows\System32 and \Windows\SysWOW64, delete these driver files left behind (they will all have the same date):

amdocl.dll
opencl.dll
amdpcom32.dll
atimpc32.dll
atiu9pag.dll
atiuxpag.dll
atigktxx.dll
atiglpxx.dll
atiadlxx.dll
atiumdva.cap
atiumdva.dll
aticaldd.dll
atiumdag.dll
atiumdmv.dll
aticalcl.dll
aticalrt.dll
atioglxx.dll
atidxx32.dll
ati2edxx.dll
atimuixx.dll
atipdlxx.dll
atitmmxx.dll
atiesrxx.exe
atieclxx.exe
ATIDEMGX.dll
aticfx32.dll
atiapfxx.exe
atiapfxx.blb

5. In \windows\inf, open each oem??.inf files with notepad, any that are clearly for ATI Display, delete the inf and corresponding PNF files.

6. In administrative tools-> services, find any AMD/ATI services and set the startup type to manual. (I won't detail how to remove services now).

7. Restart, when windows prompts you to install video card drivers, cancel the wizards that come up.

8. Download and install the correct 11.6 driver from here: http://www2.ati.com/drivers/11-6_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl.exe

9. If it still quickly aborts, launch control panel -> system -> device manager. Identify the entries for your video cards (likely with an exclamation point icon). Double click on the item, on the driver tab, choose update driver or install driver, choose "browse my computer for driver software", and direct the installer to C:\ATI\Support\11-6_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl\Packages\Drivers\Display\W76A_INF

10. If you manually installed drivers for all video cards, use windows explorer and browse to C:\ATI\Support\11-6_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl\Packages\Apps\OpenCL64, and run OpenCL.msi

11. Restart

Bitcoin Miners normal GPU users no longer needed.

After I started my account following a lot of online guides (but the most easy to follow was http://startbitcoin.com/ with good recommendations), I also joined a pool to see how was it (and well a lot of people recommended this one https://mining.bitcoin.cz) and after like 36 hours of mining I got 0.00004332 BTC, then I realized that bitcoin mining for the normal user at the current difficulty it is really impossible, you really would need like at least 2 TH of power to see a profit at the current prize, the other option will be to start mining other currencies but probably the ones that I can mine with some profit of coins will never lift off, however see BTC now maybe those can be like that at some point, probably I will start mining PPCoins since they already are in the top 5 of the currencies, that being said I think that to be able to do my project I will really need donations or investors.

Hello, some details about the project

The idea of this project started after a couple of personal problems that i had last year, after an almost fatal accident with fireworks a lot of debts for medical bills and at the point to almost losing my home I decided to look for a way to earn extra money, my salary is around $300 monthly in my country that is a little more of minimum wage, and there are not much options available around, so i decided to check if the BTC community will help me in my Journey to gather between 5-10 BTC and buy a miner powerful enough to make for the cost of power since after a week playing around mining bitcoins I was able to only gather 1 dollar from a pool, so my maximum power is not enough at the current difficulty level, I will write my findings and share my thoughts on crypto currencies to help the community.

The Final idea of the project is that after I am able to buy one miner I will be able to self-sustain the production of BC and also be able to create a local option for exchanging BTC/USD and try to also give options to local business to start accepting the currency.
Locally we started to use PayPal just one year ago and still is very limited to those that have US address where Paypal can deposit, so probably if we do not start with this soon BTC will never reach all public in my country.

In advance thanks for your support on this
